1930s-40s White Rose Print Bias Cut Gown
True vintage late 30s~early 40s white bias-cut gown with large pink rose print all over. This was probably designed to be a nightgown, as the lightweight rayon fabric is semi-sheer and styled in the likeness of nightgowns of this time. However, this would be appropriate as a dress for almost any occasion by modern standards. It features an adorable blouson bodice above an empire waist, or princess waist, with a shirt button, collar and button-up cuffs on the long sleeves. This dress is in superb condition; I haven’t found a spot on it - not even under the arms or at the hem. No tears, rips or open seams.
Fits like a modern small- chest 38-40”, waist up to about 30” but this is dress Is cut on the bias, so the waist will cling to the wearer’s form. Sleeves, shoulder to cuff hem 25”. Shoulders 17.5”
