These rare 1940’s–1950’s Heywood-Wakefield nesting tables embody the clean, sculptural elegance that defined mid-century American design. Finished in the brand’s signature “Platinum” tone, these tables feature beautifully tapered legs and softly bowed rectangular tops that nest seamlessly beneath one another. The blonde satin finish highlights the gentle grain of the wood. The three graduated sizes make them both practical and visually balanced. Retaining their original stamped markings—“Heywood-Wakefield,” “Platinum,” and model number 312, these tables are an authentic and sought-after example of American modernist design. Overall in very good vintage condition with subtle surface wear consistent with age.

Although, it was manufactured in 1945, this was purchased ten years later in 1955. Here is more info from the original owners:

“It appears to have have been built in 1945 the year WWII ended, but marketing didn’t begin with supply chains for a few years after that.

Dad was at the Pentagon in DC when mom bought the furniture around 1955 when I was born at Fort Belvoir, Virginia   it was put in storage in the late 50s early 60s while we were in South Korea and then it went to Belleville Illinois, then to Dover, Delaware while dad was flying to Vietnam and then back to Oxford, Ohio his last year in ROTC at Miami University and then to Fayetteville, North Carolina and then Chapel Hill, North Carolina, and then Croasdaile Village for the last 20 years.

The furniture just had a good life, hope it still has more years.”
