This gorgeous Mid-Century Modern step-up corner table by Heywood-Wakefield is a beautiful example of the company’s iconic streamlined design! Crafted in solid birch and finished in their signature light “Platinum” finish, the table has a warm, blonde tone & features a sculptural, two-tier form with a curved upper surface that sweeps inward before extending over the larger, lower tier. Rounded edges throughout soften the silhouette, and its curvy, splayed legs are an iconic design from one of the most recognizable names in American mid-century furniture. These were designed to sit in between two sections of a sofa to create an L-shape among the three pieces, but would look great at one end of sofa, or beside a large occasional chair.
It’s in very nice condition overall with light age-appropriate surface wear. There are a few small circular marks to the lower surface, shown in photos, along with minor scuffs consistent with its age and use. The Platinum finish remains beautifully warm and even overall!
