Rare find! Mid century Heywood Wakefield corner desk and matching upholstered swivel chair. Both have been refinished in their entirety and given a bright but warm Ipswich Pine stain, which I love given how well it blends with other blonde to warm-toned woods, like teak, pine, oak and maple! The upholstery was found in great condition, but I ended up cleaning the seat and back twice until the water was clear! Now it even smells good. I also ordered a brand new swivel mechanism for the chair, as the original had lost all of its ball-bearing beads. So it swivels like a dream and has brand new hardware. I cleaned the drawer out ad much as I could but deep water stains remain hidden inside. The drawer is as deep as the desk and has a built-in pencil holder. The only “issue” are three small nail holes on the left long side of the desk’s outer side. These could be filled in but they are barely visible, and if this does go into a corner, both of the two longer sides will be against a wall, and hidden.
