A pair of teak, two-tier nightstands by Sun Cabinet Co. with two drawers and a hidden, slide-out tray. The top tier has a beautifully curved edge that allows easier access to the bottom tier tabletop. These sit on top of elevated plinth bases and have a finished back - a bonus if these aren’t going to be up against a wall! Waterfall and rounded edges across all corners, softening the angles across both pieces. Warm hues and beautiful patterns throughout the teak grain. These were probably manufactured as part of a bedroom suit and are often found or paired with teak platform beds from the same period.
They are in great condition with normal evidence of use and age - including some water marks to the tops of both tiers on both pieces - these are shown in the photographs. These issues do not demand your attention much when viewing them in person. One of the drawers had a sloppy, but sound, repair where the drawer face joints with one of its sides. It’s only visible when you open the drawer. The drawers glide open and closed like a dream.
