Mid Century Teak Dyrlund Dining Table & 6 Teak Scandinavia Woodworks Co. Chairs

$2,700.00

Mid century teak oval dining table by Dyrlund with two leaves & six chairs by Scandinavia Woodworks Co. Although these are from different manufacturers, they were purchased as a set from the same sales floor in the 1970s, and we’d love to keep them together, but do let us know if you want either the table or six chairs alone. If I can find buyers for each before I find a buyer for the set, we will let you know on a first-come, first-serve basis.

The table has two leaves, significantly elongating the table to accommodate up to eight seats. I refinished the top of the table - I gave it five coats of a very durable, protective urethane finish by General Finishes. This table is unlike most in that it retains its oval shape with the leaves out - most comparable tables become a circle with the leaves removed. There are three locks down each underside of the table - six total - to keep the seams tight, with or without the leaves. The feet are adjustable in case your floor is uneven - but one of the adjustable knobs is missing - leaving three out of the original four. The Dyrlund sticker is on the bottom of one of the splayed feet (I forgot to photograph it when I had it upside down). There is a chip on the edge of one of the leaves, see photographs. Otherwise, this table is in amazing condition for its age and looks stunning with its restored table top.

The chairs are also in really great shape. All structurally sound - no loose joints or wobbling - and the original upholstery remains in great shape as well. We photographed all of the issues found here - one threadbare area on a chair back and a few other faint stains on the seats. I think I found one missing wood plug, which would have covered a screw pocket that is now exposed. Most of the manufacturer’s stickers are still present on the underside of the chair’s seats, from “Scandinavia Woodworks Co.”

measurements: Length with both leaves 100” Height 28” Width 45” & Each Leaf is 17.75”

**All sales final: It is our mission to disclose all issues found, but all of our items are vintage - which means most of them have been worn or used and may have minor issues. In the event that we have overlooked an issue, it is not because we misrepresented the item, it is because the issue was not apparent enough to demand our attention. We can only apologize for our oversight and hope you can repair the issue, but we do not accept returns for items we have photographed & listed on our website.
