Mid century teak shelving unit & room divider with built-in desk, bar & record storage. This unit is modular in its entirety, meaning its current configuration can be completely changed. Each supporting beam has holes for shelving supports from top to bottom so that every shelf & every cabinet can be moved up and down, or switched around and moved to the other side. The back of the unit, and the backs of all of the cabinets, are finished - so this piece does not have to stand against a wall and instead could double as a room divider. The built in bar has white laminate inside for easy cleaning. The drawers also have white laminate inside. One cabinet comes with vertical dividers, perfect for record or file storage. These dividers are easily removed if not needed (but they should stay with the piece to maintain its value!). Another piece is simply one drawer with a lip along the back edge to prevent objects from falling off - this piece is an ideal desk area and only needs a chair. Another cabinet opens to one shelf, also adjustable, and, finally, there is one piece that has three drawers, and it comes with five shelves. This beauty is many things in one and could really check a lot of boxes, especially given a small home or apartment! Not to mention, it’s gorgeous. It’s stamped “made in Yugoslavia” but no other label or identifying information was found.
It's in great shape with its original finish. There is evidence of use commensurate with its age - and it’s probably from the 1970s - including small chips, faint scratches, maybe some tiny white paint splatters that I missed when I cleaned it. The only issue that I think merits a mention is a water stain on the record/file cabinet’s top - a faint light spot - see photographs for this and all other angles of the entire unit. Again, it’s in excellent vintage condition, but not in perfect condition.
