This mid century dresser is a beautiful example of design and craftsmanship from an era where the mission of manufacturing was to make furniture that would stand the test of time, both physically and aesthetically. All that’s to say, this beauty is well-made, with many features that speak to its durability, utility and ease of function. Nine roomy drawers give it a generous amount of storage. There are three large, framed panel drawers in the center, each one wrapped in deep molded trim that adds depth to the face. The side drawers are clean-faced with their original circular hardware. The lowboy rests on classic, solid tapered legs that lift the piece just enough to feel light and airy. Every drawer glides smoothly, and the overall build is solid and substantial. Finally, although we have seen MANY a walnut piece over the years, the color here is so stunning and unique - it’s a shade lighter than you normally find, with a golden honey hue, and this allows that heavily patterned, gorgeous grain to really shine through. It’s the kind of piece that can both make a space pop and anchor a room!
