LOCAL DELIVERY OR PICKUP ONLY

This stunning mid century modern executive desk is part of the highly sought-after “Mainline” collection by Hooker furniture from the 1960s. Crafted primarily from rich walnut wood, the desk showcases the iconic organic curves, clean lines, and structural innovation characteristic of Danish modern and American mid-century design. The most striking feature is the floating desktop, which gives the piece an open, airy feel that offsets its substantial constitution. It’s the perfect anchor for your office, providing both an expansive work space and tons of storage without becoming encumbering in the room.

I refinished the top, and it looks absolutely stunning. I gave it so many protective top coats that I lost count but there’s at least five, maybe six, coats of urethane by General Finishes. This ensures it has a nice, durable finish on top, which one can use with both confidence and care to keep it in its current condition for many lifetimes to come.

Its double-pedestal design has four drawers, including a file cabinet drawer disguised as two drawers on the left side. The deep, file cabinet drawer opens and closes with ease, utilizing solid metal hardware that is sure to continue to hold up over time, despite how heavy these file cabinets can become when full of documents. Two more drawers occupy the cabinet on the right, and another drawer sits front and center, directly beneath the desk’s top. All of the drawers feature dovetail joints and are in great condition - they all open with ease and close flush. The drawer pulls are silver metal with black accents. The center drawer has a groove for pulling open along the bottom edge.

Designed to be placed in the center of a room rather than pushed against a wall, the back of the desk is fully finished & looks amazing from every angle - perfect for meeting with and seating clients on the other side.

It stands on solid, tapered legs ending in rounded ball feet. A scalloped cross-brace runs the length of the back of the base adding stability to the structure in an elegant way.

There is one stain of some sort on the top of the cabinet on the left side - underneath the desk top - see photos.

Measurements: Length 50”, Depth 23.25”, Height 29.75”

We can only apologize for our oversight and hope you can repair the issue, but we do not accept returns for items we have photographed & listed on our website.
