Richard Thompson for Glenn of California Dining Table & 3 Leaves

$2,100.00
Sold Out

Mid century dining table attributed to designer Richard Thompson for Glenn of California. This table is not marked but I purchased it with eight chairs that match this table in color, era and design, and the chairs still had a few of their labels from Glenn of California. Combined with additional research, it’s clear that the chairs were designed by Richard Thompson for Glenn of California. Given all of the above, it’s likely this table was also designed by Richard Thompson for Glenn of California. Glenn of California was a high-end furniture manufacturer and Thompson’s most notable work was designed for them during the 50s & 60s. His works were best known for blending functionality with clean, minimalist design - often having multiple functions for one piece - like a bar in a buffet or a stereo in a credenza. This striking dining table is no exception, with its sculpted, tapered legs and sleek, rounded top, which opens to accommodate three leaves. It can seat as few as four and as many as 10. It’s almost impossible to see where one leaf ends and another begins - they all blend together seamlessly and beautifully.

This table is in excellent condition. It is about 70 years old, and, as such, there are a few imperfections on the top, all photographed, but all barely visible until pointed out & given a careful inspection.

Length with all 3 leaves 115.5” Each leaf is 19 7/8” Height 29.25”

Available for local pickup or local delivery. Please reach out prior to purchase for a quote to deliver. Be sure to choose “other payment options” and “local pickup” at checkout to avoid automated shipping charges. Or feel free to contact a freight company to arrange pick up & shipping - we are happy to facilitate that as well.

In the event that we have overlooked an issue, it was not because we misrepresented the item, it is because the issue was not apparent enough to demand our attention.
