Beautifully crafted from thick, densely woven wool with a soft, slightly fuzzy texture, this timeless piece is as functional as it is collectible! Hudson’s Bay point blankets have a rich history dating back to the late 18th century, when they became an important trade item in North America. The distinctive black lines, known as “points,” were traditionally woven into the blanket to indicate its size and relative wool content. These markings helped traders identify and distinguish blankets without having to unfold them, so cool! The classic multicolored stripe design has since become one of the most recognizable patterns in historic wool blankets.
