LOCAL DELIVERY OR PICKUP ONLY

Vintage teak and rosewood queen size platform bed in superb condition from the late ‘70s. Majority teak with a rich rosewood trim framing the headboard and nightstand drawers. These are always so well-made & so easy to disassemble & reassemble - this one doesn’t even require tools for breakdown and reassembly. The attached hardware are male and female brackets, and each plank simply meets and locks in place. There are six substantial boards upon which the mattress lies. The two sides of the bed both have ledges along the entirety of their lengths, and these ledges support the six platform planks for the mattress. Additionally, there is a center support bracket that spans the length of the middle of the bed, to prevent dipping in the center. The nightstands are not attached to the headboard but they were designed to stand in front of the headboard and are nicely framed by the headboard’s trim.

Freshly cleaned & conditioned. Only a few very small, minor nicks and scuffs found. All of the scuffs came out, and the nicks were filled in or made less visible. The original owners added two small boards to the back of the headboard and they also used two small blocks of wood to raise their headboard up a bit, because it sank a bit on their carpet. These would be very easy to remove if your situation renders them unnecessary, but I have left them alone for now. Neither of these additions are original or necessary; nor do they point to any issues or structural concerns - it was just a personal preference to have the headboard higher, and then the blocks were used to compensate for the sinking in the carpet. I hope that all makes sense - questions welcome if not! This bed was in a guest bedroom and, as such, rarely used, which helps explain its incredible condition. Sadly, I didn’t find a manufacturer’s or maker’s mark, nor have I found another one like it anywhere - previously sold or currently for sale.

Headboard height (as is) 33” and without the additions it would be 31.75” / Headboard length 97.25” / Headboard to footboard 80.75” / side to side of bed 62” / bed frame height 15.5” / nightstand height 19” Nightstand width 16” nightstand depth 12”
