A fantastic antique children’s fire truck pedal car with all the classic mid-century details! Finished in bright fire-engine red, this all-metal pedal car features a long streamlined body with cream side striping, sculpted fenders, a silver-painted front grille and bumper, and wonderfully detailed faux headlights. The car is outfitted with whitewall-style tires, silver hubcaps, a large cream steering wheel, and its original pedal-driven mechanism, which is still working. One of the best details is the fire truck equipment on the hood, including a red warning light with a translucent red lens and a working metal bell — a charming feature that really brings this little truck to life! The open cockpit has a simple pressed-metal seat and footwell, with the pedal rods and mechanical components visible underneath. The body has a great streamlined 1950’s automobile-inspired shape, complete with pointed side graphics and tailfin-like rear styling. In great condition for its age with expected signs of use, including scattered paint loss, surface wear, scratches, oxidation, and some rust to the metal components. These imperfections give it wonderful character without taking away from its overall appearance. The red paint remains vibrant, the decorative striping is largely intact, and the car displays beautifully. Most importantly, the pedal mechanism and bell are both still functional!
