Antique Buffet Hand Painted after Mackenzie Childs

$1,250.00

LOCAL DELIVERY OR PICKUP ONLY

A one of a kind antique, hand painted sideboard, or buffet, featuring a prominent black & white harlequin diamond pattern on its two central drawers, surrounded by a flourish of whimsical floral motifs, colors and designs across its heavily turned spool-style legs and ball feet. Inspired by the whimsy and maximalism of 1990s Mackenzie Childs-era design, this playful work of functional art is a truly fantastic restyling of this 1920s Jacobean revival server, which would have been a very dark solid brown originally.

Great condition, with evidence of use across the top, and a piece of loose veneer across the top drawer under the paint. It looks like the tassle on one side was never completed by the artist. The wheels don’t roll very well, so this needs to be picked up to be moved. We did this pretty easily with “forearm forklifts”. When you pick it up, the two back wheels fall out sometimes, and you have to put them back in the legs.

The doors and drawers have no issues.

Length 72”, Depth 23.25”, Height 39”

Available for local pickup or local delivery. Please reach out prior to purchase for a quote to deliver. Be sure to choose “other payment options” and “local pickup” at checkout to avoid automated shipping charges. Or feel free to contact a freight company to arrange pick up & shipping - we are happy to facilitate that as well.

All sales final: It is our mission to disclose all issues found, but all of our items are vintage - which means most of them have been worn or used and may have minor issues. In the event that we have overlooked an issue, it is not because we misrepresented the item, it is because the issue was not apparent enough to demand our attention. We can only apologize for our oversight and hope you can repair the issue, but we do not accept returns for items we have photographed & listed on our website.
