Mid Century Dixie Walnut Chest of Drawers
Mid century modern walnut chest of drawers by Dixie furniture from the 1960s. This chest of drawers is a beautiful display of the era’s clean, straight lines and “less-is-more” minimal design. The walnut veneer across the top, sides and drawers features a heavily patterned, gorgeous wood grain in flamed and varied hues of brown and gold. The drawer pulls are solid walnut, sculpted to a triangular shape, with black plastic spacers in between the handles and the drawers. Some of these handles have distinctive golden flames in the walnut grain that are quite eye-catching and handsome. This piece has been refinished in its entirety. Much of the natural beauty of the walnut was hidden behind the original finish, which was dark and in need of a complete redo. It’s very fulfilling to see this chest with its natural beauty unveiled. Its clean, unvarnished finish pairs well with its no-fuss, minimal design. Both understated and a standout piece that would look great and function well in a variety of spaces. It has two small top drawers and three BIG, DEEP drawers. The first of the three bottom drawers has a divider built-in. The drawers slide out and in without any issue.
