1910s~20s Lace Sleeping Cap

$50.00

Antique sleeping cap from the early twentieth century (1900s-1930s). This cloche style sleeping hat is handcrafted with two layers of net lace - ivory over pastel blue - embellished with embroidered lace across the front of the bonnet, and three-dimensional floral embroidery at each blue ribbon’s center. Adorable blue satin ribbon rosettes adorn both sides of the bonnet’s temples, with smaller pink satin rosettes in their centers. A ruffled skirt of lace trim with scalloped hem along the back of the neck. This is a commodious little cap, designed to hold and cover hair. However, given its age and delicate composition, I would limit wearing this hat to infrequent and short, gentle sessions so as to preserve this beautiful example of antique sleepwear.

Measures 24” around band.
