Never Worn 1930s~40s Silk & Lace Brassiere Camisole • S
Late 20s~1930s~early 40s? antique camisole or brassiere in the softest shade of pastel pink silk with an ivory lace overlay. A ribbon runs through the lace of the top hem creating a drawstring for closure above two more small metal snaps down the front and a metal eye and hook for closure at the waist. The waist has elastic running through its hemline, but the elastic has deteriorated and lost its elasticity. This is repairable with new elastic. Eyelet embroidery along the shoulder straps. This could be worn as a crop top or as an undergarment as is, but it should be worn gently and handled with care, given its age.
Condition: this antique bra appears to have never been worn as it bears no evidence of any wear or tear. A few spots on the back are mostly hidden by the lace. Again the elastic waist needs to be replaced. The ribbon is shredded in the area where it has been tied in storage. No sign of wear.
