1940’s - 1950’s Plum Gabardine “Ricky” Jacket • S/M

$165.00

A fantastic piece of postwar American menswear, this late 1940s to early 1950s “Ricky” jacket by National Shirt Shops is cut from a rich plum-colored gabardine with all the details collectors love. Featuring a full metal zipper front, sharp pointed collar, flap chest pockets with pleated construction, button cuffs, and a fitted waistband, it embodies the clean, effortless silhouette that made Ricky jackets a staple of the era. The soft drape and deep plum hue give it a distinctly rockabilly and mid-century feel. This jacket shows honest age and wear and is being sold as-is. There is discoloration and fading throughout, wear and fraying around the zipper base, scattered surface wear, and a small hole on the right sleeve as photographed. Despite its flaws, it remains an increasingly hard-to-find example of an authentic mid-century gabardine jacket with loads of character!

Measurements: Chest 48”, Waist 34”-36”, Shoulder 19”, Sleeve 23.5”, Shoulder to Hem 22.5”

In the event that we have overlooked an issue, it is not because we misrepresented the item, it is because the issue was not apparent enough to demand our attention. We can only apologize for our oversight and hope you can repair the issue, but we do not accept returns for items we have photographed & listed on our website.
