A fantastic 1960’s men’s button-down by Archdale, cut from 100% cotton Dan River fabric in a beautifully faded chambray-like blue. The lightweight woven cotton has a soft, slightly slubby texture and relaxed drape that gives it that perfectly lived-in vintage look. Designed with a classic loop collar that can be worn open for a true mid-century look or buttoned all the way to the neck using the concealed loop-and-button closure. The shirt has a straight, relaxed silhouette with two generously sized patch pockets at the chest, a full button front with small pearlescent buttons, long sleeves, and buttoned cuffs. The back is clean and simple with a horizontal shoulder yoke. The original Archdale label is still present and reads “100% Cotton,” “Wrinkl-Shed with Dri-Don,” and “It’s a Dan River Fabric.” Dan River’s Wrinkl-Shed/Dri-Don finish was marketed as an easy-care fabric designed to resist wrinkling and dry quickly, a great period detail that adds to the shirt’s vintage appeal! In excellent condition, especially considering its age. The fabric retains a beautiful, even blue color. There is just one small hole directly above the left cuff, as pictured. Otherwise, it presents wonderfully with no major flaws noted!
Measurements: Chest 49”, Waist 48”, Shoulder 20”, Sleeve 23”, Shoulder to Hem 28”
All sales final: It is our mission to disclose all issues found, but all of our items are vintage - which means most of them have been worn or used and may have minor issues. In the event that we have overlooked an issue, it is not because we misrepresented the item, it is because the issue was not apparent enough to demand our attention. We can only apologize for our oversight and hope you can repair the issue, but we do not accept returns for items we have photographed & listed on our website.
