1950’s Cashmere Beaded Cardigan • M

$60.00
Sold Out

A truly stunning 1950s “pure” cashmere cardigan by Anne Scott, crafted in the softest creamy yellow/ivory knit and adorned with intricate, hand-applied beadwork that feels nothing short of couture. The surface is richly embellished with swirling botanical motifs in warm golden tones, bronze, and soft champagne—formed from a mix of seed beads, faceted sequins, and tubular bugle beads. The design is symmetrically arranged across the front with a striking central panel that follows the line of the closure. The cardigan features a classic crew neckline and a delicate hook-and-eye front closure, allowing the beadwork to remain uninterrupted and fully on display. The hem, cuffs, and neckline are all thoughtfully finished with additional beaded detailing, giving the piece a cohesive, jewel-like finish from every angle. The sleeves are softly full with a gentle taper at the wrist, adding to that signature mid-century silhouette. Turn it around and the magic continues—scattered floral and starburst motifs trail across the back, interspersed with tiny glimmering beads. The cashmere itself is incredibly soft and lightweight while still feeling substantial, a true testament to the quality of vintage knitwear from this era. In excellent vintage condition overall, with one small note: there is a single missing bead at the left sleeve cuff, which is minor and does not detract from the overall beauty or wearability of the piece!

Measurements: Bust 42”, Waist 32”, Shoulder 18”, Sleeve 21.5”, Shoulder to Hem 21”
