1940’s black rayon mini dress featuring dramatic rows of chevron-shaped fringe throughout. Designed with a fitted silhouette, softly structured/puffed short sleeves, and a high gathered Mandarin-style neckline. Fringe trim continues across the sleeves, front and back of the dress, finishing with a full fringed hem for beautiful movement! The back features a row of fabric-covered buttons and loop closures at the neckline. The rayon has a soft, fluid drape with a subtle sheen that really lets the fringe detailing stand out. Some age-related wear and irregularity to the fringe, including a few loose/missing strands, consistent with the age of the piece. We have repaired a couple of seams that came undone over time. A striking 1940’s cocktail dress with incredible movement and texture!
