1970’s FoxRun Heavy Trench Coat • S/M
This incredible 1970’s FoxRun for Little Foxes trench coat is a true statement piece, made in Yugoslavia and constructed in a substantial, heavy-weight cotton twill that has that unmistakable structured drape vintage trenches are known for. The coat features a classic double-breasted front with oversized, dark metal buttons stamped with a raised “1” detail, giving the hardware a bold, industrial feel that contrasts beautifully against the soft khaki tone of the fabric. The buttons continue down the back vent, allowing the rear pleat to be worn fully closed for a clean silhouette or unbuttoned to create a dramatically exaggerated swing and movement when walking. The waist is cinched with a wide matching belt threaded through sturdy metal D-rings, with generous grommeted holes and a solid rectangular metal buckle that feels weighty and intentional. Additional D-rings appear at the hips and back, a very utilitarian, almost military-inspired detail that adds to the coat’s sculptural look. The sleeves are finished with adjustable cuff straps, each secured with matching metal hardware, allowing the cuffs to be worn snug or loose. Structured shoulder epaulettes sit cleanly at the top of each sleeve, reinforcing the strong 1970’s silhouette and giving the coat a powerful, tailored shoulder line. Oversized flap pockets sit low on the front, designed not just for function but for visual impact, with deep capacity and matching button closures that echo the front hardware. The back features a classic storm flap with attached D-rings, adding another layer of texture and movement while staying true to traditional trench design. Inside, the coat is fully lined and includes a removable quilted liner that unzips out, making it incredibly versatile for layering across seasons. The liner adds warmth and structure without bulk and can be easily removed for a lighter transitional wear. Every detail, from the precision stitching to the robust metal hardware, speaks to the quality craftsmanship of this era. The weight, the dramatic proportions, and the thoughtful construction make this trench not just a wardrobe staple, but a standout vintage outerwear piece that feels timeless, architectural, and undeniably 😎 The coat is is excellent condition with just a couple of small spots here and there that are barley noticeable to the naked eye!
