This unbelievable 90 year old wedding gown is truly a vintage vision in glowing liquid satin. A perfect example of an art deco wedding dress, it has all the distinctive bells and whistles you want in a 1930’s gown. Floor length and bias-cut with a dramatic train and stunning puff sleeves with cinched in cuffs and a pointed, almost fingerless glove wrist detail, it’s impossible to take your eyes off this gown. This piece has a very romantic silhouette all around, accentuated by a sheer lace peekaboo panel above the gathered bust and a high princess empire waist. Featuring fabric-covered buttons up the spine and an angular, diamond shaped panel construction on the back, every single detail is thoughtful and drop dead gorgeous. In unbelievably excellent condition, the only signs of age are some very small holes in the lace, some loose beading surrounding the lace, two small openings on the seam at right wrist, and one small hole on train. All of these issues are easily repaired. The fabric remains in unbelievably excellent condition.
Measurements taken laid flat and doubled for bust, waist and hips.
Bust 36” Empire Waist 29” Because this is bias cut there are a couple inches of room at waist and hips - Waist 24”-30” Hips up to 36” Shoulder to Hem in front approximately 65” A little difficult to be accurate here because of the bias-cut fabric bit I feel we got close! Sleeves, shoulders to cuff hems 26” with 2” V shaped hem. The train is approximately 20”.
