1980’s Papell Boutique heavily beaded silk evening gown featuring an elegant, body-skimming column silhouette. Crafted with a 100% silk shell, the gown is densely hand embellished with tiny glass seed and bugle beads in black, bronze/gold, green and purple, scattered with bright pink, green and gold sequins that create a playful confetti-like effect throughout! Designed with a high mock neckline and sleeveless halter-style cut, with dramatically scooped armholes that frame the shoulders. Rows of metallic-toned beading trim the neckline, arm openings, side slit and hem, adding definition to the silhouette. A high side slit gives the long, narrow skirt movement. The gown is fully lined in black polyester, allowing the sheer silk beaded overlay to drape beautifully while providing coverage! There are two small areas of missing beadwork, both minor and consistent with the delicate nature and age of a heavily embellished vintage garment. Overall presents beautifully!
